Welcome to the 73rd edition of the Ski & Snowboard Australia
E-News.
Despite the difficult snow conditions in many parts of the World
our athletes continue to enjoy success at all levels of
competition, and in some cases achieve record breaking results.
Jacqui Cooper took her career tally of World Cup victories to 18
after she won two Aerials World Cups over the past fortnight. Dale
Begg-Smith was also victorious in a Moguls World Cup event in Mont
Gabriel, Canada.
Many events have been postponed and cancelled which unfortunately
dramatically affects the training and competition schedules for
athletes and programs at all levels of the sport.
Further to the discipline and program updates, this edition of the
E-News will also provide athletes with some very important
information regarding changes to the World Anti-Doping Agency
(WADA) Prohibited List in 2007. If you are an athlete or a parent
of an athlete please make sure you are aware of the WADA prohibited
list, your responsibilities and the testing process.

It has been a strong showing by the Australians over the last 2 days
here in Arosa for the 2007 World Championships SBX. Damon Hayler and
Alex Pullin had a great day of qualifying by making the final cut of
32 men. The short course meant just over a second separated the

Australia's National Alpine Development Women's program has had
a very busy start to the 2006/07 winter; taking full advantage of
the excellent snow conditions in the north-west of Canada.
After arriving toward the end of November, following the successful
completion of their Yr 12 exams, NSWIS scholarship athletes Tomi
